Who we are
The creators of the Battle Camp Fitness training program, Daniel Ford and James Humphreys, have 18+ years experience as full time Professional Fitness Trainers, and have been designing cutting edge fitness training programs for the general public at Battle Camp for the past 5 years.
Dan and James met at the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) in 2003 whilst they were working as full time Australian Defence Force (ADF) Physical Training Instructors (PTI’s), training hundreds of Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen. Both were tasked to give anywhere between 2 to 6 Physical Training sessions per day, under the microscope of the ADF’s highest training establishment.
Whilst at ADFA, Dan and James helped implement a new injury rehabilitation treatment strategy within ADFA. When this new strategy was initiated the number of injured cadets at ADFA was reduced by 50%, and was regarded as a huge success. In conjunction with the rehabilitation strategy, they also integrated an injury prevention plan throughout their fitness training. This injury prevention plan is used to this day in Battle Camp, and is a major reason for the limited number injuries for all its training programs.
This huge resource of experience has enabled Battle Camp to evolve the standard of Boot Camp training. Battle Camp takes all the positives of military training (professionalism, effectiveness, teamwork) and uses it in a fun, safe and social atmosphere. The Motto at Battle Camp Fitness is to “work hard with a smile on your face!”
