Always having an affinity for the natural world, Helen's pathway to Naturopathy originated during her time managing a successful landscaping business. The innocuous discovery of antique botany publications lead her initially to Aromatherapy and then to the creation of herbal healing creams, balms and therapeutic oils. Upon successfully developing her own skin care label offering a natural alternative to chemical based products on the market, and through further eduction, Helen began her life long dedication to Naturopathy. Over the next 5 years she completed a range of diplomas and degrees falling under the alternative medicine umbrella to include Naturopathy, Herbalism, Nutrition, Iridology, Remedial Massage, Touch for Health, Reflexology, Lymphatic Drainage Massage, Massage for Pregnancy, Infants & Elderly. Such was Helen's outstanding performance as a student, she graduated with the award for Clinical Excellence on completion of her studies.

Prior to graduation in 2007, Helen established the Balance Health Centre in 2005 operating out of a beauty salon in the Adelaide CBD. Earlier this year, she relocated to the Hyde Park Podiatry on Unley Road at Hyde Park and continues to grow her business as its sole practitioner.

Helen considers herself a progressive practitioner, promoting collaboration with other medical professionals to achieve the best outcome for her clients. She continues to develop her range of products and undertake further education. When not working, she returns to the garden to tend to her own bevvy of fruit trees, vegetables and herbs.
