About ARC

A professional body for Australian Reiki practitioners, the Australian Reiki Connection (ARC), has grown into one of the country's leading Reiki associations.

A member-run organisation, the Associations elect a new Committee of Management every year. 

Together with members, they support national Reiki activities both from a community and a professional standpoint. 

Since 1997, ARC has maintained constant communication among members and the general public, while developing professional standards that are in line with the needs of Reiki practitioners, clients, teachers and students. 

The Association's members are proud of the association's high profile, its efforts to promote Reiki on their behalf, and the professionalism that ARC membership implies.

ARC is committed to ensuring that Reiki remains a respected profession in the eyes of Australians and mainstream health professionals.

ARC Mission Statement

To work with and promote the spirit of Reiki through teaching, healing, fellowship and research, both within the Reiki community and the wider community.

ARC Vision

To incorporate Reiki as a standalone therapy into mainstream health care and community settings while maintaining it as a spiritual practice.

Accomplishments of the ARC

With members from every Australian state and territory, the Australian Reiki Connection is a network of independent Usui systems of Reiki practitioners, master teachers, and other members affiliated with the Usui systems of Reiki schools in Australia. 

Through this diverse membership approach, unity was built. Despite this diversity, members are appreciated and encouraged to share their views. 

The ARC has been involved with the development of Codes of Ethics and professional practice for its members since the very beginning, and it has gradually developed a Personal and Professional Development Booklet that all of its professional members must complete annually to ensure exemplary standards.

For those who practice Reiki in Australia today, whether professionally or just for themselves, family and friends, the association has proved to be a valuable resource. Throughout its history, the Association has represented the best interests of both its members and the Usui system of Reiki.

Among the primary aims of the Association of Australian Reiki Professionals are:

• To raise the profile of Reiki Master teachers and professional practitioners
• To encourage Reiki practitioners and teachers to strive for continuous professional and personal growth, as well as to maintain high standards of training.
• To maintain a professional Reiki practitioner and master teacher register for Australia.
• To work with other professional bodies for the dissemination of the Usui System of Reiki
• To integrate Reiki as a standalone modality in the Mainstream Healthcare system
