ABA Membership

Breathwork Practitioners, Group Facilitators, or Breathwork Trainers can join the Australian Breathwork Association as Professional Members.  

You can join as an Associate member if you are a student or just want to be connected to the Breathwork community. 

Joining the Australian Breathwork Association gives you the opportunity to contribute to the ABA vision and connect with others who are doing the same.

Membership Category Qualifications

Professional Members

• Breathwork qualification that complies with ​current ABA training standards
• Members must have Professional Indemnity Insurance and current First Aid qualification
• Members must abide by the ABA Code of Ethics
• Must undertake Continuing Professional Education or Professional Supervision 
• Report annually upon membership renewal

Associate Members

Members of this category are students, Breathwork clients, or previous professionals who do not meet the professional membership criteria.

Further, anyone who is a lover of breath wants to remain connected to the Breathwork community.

• Membership in an organisation that maintains professional standards in terms of training, ethics, practice, and continuing education and supervision.

• Discounts on ABA Breathe Australia Conferences and other ABA sponsored events.

• You can post Breathwork related training and seminars on the ABA's Facebook page.
• Online mentoring events offered by the ABA
• Voting rights at ABA AGM
• Meet other Breathwork professionals in the community

Associate Membership

• Membership of a Breathwork community
• Discounts on the annual ABA Breathe Australia Conference and other ABA sponsored events, including Meet2Breathe Online every month
• Receive member newsletters and up-to-date information.
• Student insurance (if applicable)

Membership Fees

A one-off joining fee of $25.00 is required for ABA Membership.

Renewal of ABA membership occurs every year on 1 July.  

Every year, reminders and invitations to renew your membership are sent out in May to give you enough time to renew by 30 June.

Late payments shall incur a $25.00 fee.

Professional Membership

Annual Fee

• 1st July to 30th June = $180.00 + joining fee if a new member

If new members join mid-year:

• 1st September to 30th December = $135.00 + joining fee
• 1st January to 31st March = $90.00 + joining fee
• 1st April to 30th June = $45.00 + joining fee

Associate Membership

Annual Fee

• 1st July to 30th June = $75.00 + joining fee if a new member

If new members join mid-year:

• 1st September to 30th December = $56.25  + joining fee
• 1st January to 31st March = $37.50  + joining fee
• 1st April to 30th June = $18.75  + joining fee
