About
Myofascial Cupping is a form of soft tissue therapy used to treat muscular-skeletal dysfunction which often results in pain and restriction of movement. Myofascial Cupping is based on applying cups to the skin and then creating a suction to lift the surface of the skin and underlying fascia. Sometimes the cups sit in the same spot for a short period of time. Occasionally the therapist slides the cups along the surface of the skin. This treatment reduces spasms and muscle tension, releasing restrictions and increasing circulation, venous and lymphatic drainage.
