About AMT

The Association of Massage Therapists (AMT) was founded in 1966 as a non-profit organisation representing qualified Massage Therapists and students of massage therapy programs. 

It is the oldest organisation that represents massage therapy as a separate entity in Australia, the premier representative body for professional massage therapists.

As a qualified association, AMT works hard to advocate for the recognition of massage therapy as a profession and raises public awareness of the health benefits of massage therapy.

Furthermore, AMT was the first organisation to establish provider status agreements with private health funds and has been instrumental in getting Massage Therapy recognised by both WorkCover in New South Wales and Victoria.

For Clients 

AMT provides a referral service for members of the public looking for a qualified, professional therapist.

As part of the association's professional services, they can offer guidance and information on what to expect from your therapist and the treatment you'll receive.

For Massage Therapy Students

AMT offers free membership to students enrolled full-time or part-time in massage therapy who wish to receive their journals electronically.
