BOWEN THERAPY

Bowen is a gentle hands-on therapy that can be extremely difficult to describe to the uninitiated, as it is really like no other therapy. However the most important factor to remember is that it possesses an extremely powerful and successful approach when addressing your "whole" body. This includes your mind, emotions as well as your physical body.

Bowen works on soft tissue, with very specific moves being conducted on precise points on the physical body, yet it remains subtle and extremely relaxing. There are NO manipulations or adjustments of hard tissue, as these are not necessary. Nevertheless, Bowen’s gentle approach affects the body in such significant ways that successfully promote healing, pain relief, relaxation, stress release, and ultimately the recovery of energy.

It is these features which make the Bowen Technique so distinctive!

I don't know about you, but when I am experiencing any kind of discomfort or pain, whether it is physical or emotional, I have a great desire to relieve it as swiftly and painlessly as possible. I also prefer to have an understanding as to exactly why I am undergoing these experiences that are ultimately creating my pain or illness.
As a dedicated practitioner, my focus is to care for each and every client as an individual whose body is an amazing and very unique 'WHOLE' being, and NOT just mechanical interchangeable parts to be removed and replaced.

Cat & Canine Muscle Release Therapy™ and Equine Muscle Release Therapy™ is an amazing natural technique that is significant in that it was specifically researched and developed from the understanding that animals possess a very different muscular structure to that of humans. We are bipeds (2 legged) and most animals are quadrupeds (4 legged).

It is important for owners to understand that their Cats, Dogs and Horses are natural athletes and generally are very active in their daily lives. This can develop injuries, stresses and strains, and if these conditions continue without relief, a breakdown may occur somewhere else in the body.
Also, as animals cannot easily converse that there is something wrong, an unaddressed injury can quickly lead to more serious problems including unacceptable behavioural issues.

ANIMAL CONSULTATION AND TREATMENT

• Initial Consultations generally take approximately 1 hour, and incorporate history, physical and visual assessments as well as taking the time to connect with your pet -Small animals - $80; Horses - $120.

• Return treatments may only require half hour unless otherwise specified -

This therapy is designed to be complementary to professional veterinary care and DOES NOT REPLACE IT!
If in doubt ALWAYS make sure that you contact your vet as soon as possible.

A mobile service is provided as part of all Animal consultations with the intention of keeping your pet comfortable and stress free in their own environment.
