Cupping

Cupping is used in TCM to treat and relieve stagnation diseases. The cups are mainly made from glass, bamboo, plastic or ceramic. Cupping works by vacuuming muscle and fascial groups and forcing them to separate, as opposed to pushing them together. The vacuum is created wither via fire or a pump. As the vacuum form it pulls on the skin, simulating acupressure. It is used for conditions such as:

    • Back pain

    • Bronchitis

    • Gynaecological problems

    • Asthma
