Initially Nicola successfully managed her own practice in Sydney, Australia where she gained extensive experience in a wide range of health issues.. Nicola was then offered an opportunity to embark on the “ chance of a lifetime” to work for Canyon Ranch Spa Club on the QM2. At it’s inception Nicola provided the first “at sea” permanent, Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine services on the QM2 between December 2003 and March 2006.

Nicola then joined Acupuncture at Sea on Celebrity Cruises in March 2006 and had the privilege of continuing her passion for Chinese Medicine on the Galaxy, Summit, Mercury, Constellation and finally the Celebrity Century.

Nicola is also an experienced Lecturer in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, having provided power point seminars on a weekly basis to 30-100 ship passengers.

Nicola has returned to Australia at the end of 2008 after a 5 year adventure on the high seas treating and educating people on the benefits of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Before relocating to Brisbane in May 2009 Nicola worked at the Maroubra branch of the Acupuncture IVF Support Clinic in Maroubra, Sydney.

Nicola relocated to Brisbane in 2009 to take up the role of Senior Acupuncturist at "The Acupuncture and Natural Therapy Centre" clinic owned by Phil Vanderzeil in West End. She is due to complete her Masters of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), specialising in women’s health, mid 2015.

Chris Fehres is a recent graduate acupuncturist of Endeavour College of Natural Health in Brisbane. Following a decade-long career of travelling the world as a professional musician, Chris returned home to follow his passion for healing and helping people through natural medicine.

He has spent a great deal of his student clinic hours focusing on treating psycho-emotional conditions such as depression and anxiety, as well as addiction management, and has experience working as a patient minder at Jost Sauer’s Urban Drug Rehab clinic in Paddington.

As well as having a comprehensive understanding of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chris also incorporates his knowledge of shamanism, energy healing, and dream interpretation into his treatments in order to provide the most effective outcome for the patient. With a long-standing history as a martial artist, Chris is an instructor of Chen style Tai Qi, which also incorporates the core principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine into a moving, physical form.

Chris believes that many illnesses can be traced back to an emotional imbalance, which then manifests itself in various ways through the physical body. His treatments therefore aim to determine and heal the root of this imbalance in order to regain optimum health and well-being.
