I am a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (AHPRA# CMR0001727340) with 32 years of clinical experience. Previously, I had been running a busy holistic health clinic in Western Australia for 17 years and am now practising on the Gold Coast for the past 12 years. I am offering Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine and Qigong.
About Sono Michetti B.Ac.
Sono is a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine registered with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia. She studied Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Acupuncture at the ‘Australian College of Natural Medicine’ in Brisbane, graduating with a Bachelor of Acupuncture in 1992. She went on to obtain certification in Chinese Herbal Formulas and furthered her studies of Chinese Herbal Medicine at the ‘Perth Academy of Natural Therapies’. Sono is a Fellow member of the AACMA and has been in clinical practice for the past 28 years, having owned one of Perth’s busiest Holistic Health Centres.
Sono’s treatment style is gentle and practical, oriented towards achieving clinical results, as well as personal and caring. She takes great interest in educating clients in the multi-layered understanding of health that the Chinese Medicine framework provides, explaining the connection between medical history and present condition, as well as incorporating a health maintenance strategy for longevity and renewed wellbeing.
Sono is also a certified Qigong instructor in Shibashi Set 1, 2 & 4 with the Tai Chi & Qigong Institute under Master Wing Cheung. She maintains a regular self-practice for the past 25 years and teaches various styles of Qigong.
Last but not least, Sono’s professional skills are enriched by the depth of her personal experience from a life dedicated, since the age of 16, to self-discovery, health and transformation.
