Dez Dalton of Reiki Empowerment Seminars joins NTPagesTV to discuss spiritual and healing energy, which can leave you feeling more relaxed and at peace with the world.

Natural Therapy Pages: I'm Mel from NTPagesTV, and I'm here with Dez from Reiki Empowerment Seminars. How're you going, Dez?
Dez Dalton: Really good, thanks! Very good, really enjoying.
NTP: So, tell me about Reiki Empowerment Seminars.
DD: Ah, well, how do I tell you about Reiki Empowerment Seminars? Reiki is universal life force energy. It means, Rei-ki, highest universal life force energy in the universe. So, really it's a spiritual energy, but also it's a healing energy. Not only healing, but it also illuminates your consciousness. It makes you feel more relaxed, more at peace and more balanced. It's great for everyone. Anyone can have it.
The great thing is you don't have to have any special gifts to be born with. What Reiki will do will enhance those gifts even more so in your life. And you don't have to be a practitioner. Reiki 1, it's about healing yourself. Heal your life and the world changes around you. It's like a, I'll give you a tip. It's like you change your energy, the energy changes around you; everything change you are. So, you are what you attract, and you attract what you are.
So, this is what it does. It helps you to become more vibrant, more alive, more energised. And touch activates the energy from your hands through a specific attunement process akin to a formula like H2O, has to be given correctly, administered for the person to receive.
NTP: Okay, so it's not hands-on healing?
DD: You can be five to seven centimetres above the body, or you can be touching. It just depends on certain areas where, you know, protocol, when you're working with people.
NTP: Yeah, of course. So, you're saying that it's beneficial for everybody like children?
DD: Everyone. Children, pets, animals, anyone can have it. Children, families, mums and dads. As long as you're breathing, you can be attuned to Reiki because it flows through your energy centres. One of a better word, chakras, you know, which are energies. They happen to be the endocrine glands, the seven prime centres, and that's how this works.
We are the seven level system of Reiki; it's the original formula that was handed down. Even though it came through a fellow, Dr Usui, in the early 1900s, a Japanese fellow, the actual formula comes from a 2500-year-old Sanskrit sutra text.
NTP: Okay, because I know there are different types of Reiki.
DD: There are many different types of Reiki. It's just like many different yoga schools. And the good news, Reiki is not a religion to belong to, no gurus. It's really self-empowerment, so it empowers the self.
NTP: Okay, so you run seminars obviously.
DD: I run seminars, yes. My Reiki school is in Randwick, for the centre. And I still work as a practitioner. We do not make any teachers unless they practise what they teach. We have no masters. There's only master of the self and the attunement formula and the symbols. There is no master of another. It is about teachers. We have teachers. But we do have the personal development levels, which is seven levels. And that's if only one wants to go that level. Those levels are fine. It means that Reiki 1, you have a one-inch pipeline flying through the hands. At the seventh degree level, it's like a waterfall of energy flowing through you. In other words, more healing in a shorter period of time to lift your life and others you work with.
NTP: Okay, sounds a beautiful, beautiful modality.
DD: That's right. Well, I healed myself. My back healed after retraining in the central system in 1994, I had a back condition from the age of 13. Three smashed discs, and basically I was told I'd be in a wheelchair and, you know, the usual by the white coats. But that's fine. That's all they know. That's not their problem, their fault. That's what they know. I used the Reiki 1 and 2, being reactivated in the seven level system, and healed within six months. I can do yoga, swimming without any problems.
NTP: Very powerful.
DD: No more drugs. It's meditation, not medication now.
