Natural Therapy Pages: I'm Kat from ntpagesTV, and I'm here with Filomena from Adult Stem Cells Nutrition. How are you, Filomena?
Filomena Marijan: Very well, thank you.
NTP: How's the expo going for you?
FM: Excellent, excellent! It's great! It's my second time being here, so it's lovely to see a lot of therapists coming from all over Australia.
NTP: That's good to hear. Now, talk about your company and what you do.
FM: We're actually called Adult Stem Cells Nutrition, and basically what we do, we have a good product that's come from America. It stimulates your own bone marrow to produce several million adult stem cells. So, it's organic because it's coming from a plant, a particular type of algae that's grown in North America. And those extra millions of adult stem cells actually move around in the body via the capillaries, and it replaces any damaged cells, any cells that need to be repaired. We've got some really good results with humans as well as animals. Various conditions with people, whether it be with things like diabetes, depression. We're getting some results with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. It's quite interesting. Stroke people.
We've got some number of doctors prescribing it to their palliative care patients, so it's helped to extend their lives. Basically, the principle is the fact that your own body does produce those extra stem cells and, therefore, they circulate to these cells that need repairing, rebuilding or replacement.
NTP: Sounds very beneficial. What else have we got on display here?
FM: We've also got another company with lifewave technology. It's new technology that's come from America as well. It is registered with the TGA as a Class 1 medical device; therefore, nothing actually goes into the bloodstream. We've got patches that are basically made of water, oxygen glucose and amino acids. And, we've got patches called Ice Wave that will reduce the pain in seconds, or maybe within a few minutes. We've got patches that will help increase your energy levels. A lot of the international athletes, like David Beckham and Michael Phelps, use it.
Another one a lot of therapists use is glutathione. A lot of people take glutathione orally or by injection. It does have a short lifespan, but the glutathione patch actually increases your natural body's glutathione by about 300 percent within 24 hours. That's really quite dramatic. So, that's helping the immune system. A lot of research has gone in with regards to cancer. Also, we've got carnosine patches. As well as a lot of the oncologists are now looking at carnosine because it helps, again, with the cancer and, also helping to repair the DNA.
So, with the lifewave, we've got a range of products, and that's quite fascinating. We're basically looking at products that the body can actually heal itself. That way, with the stem cells, you're increasing the number of stem cells. And your body is also telling it to reduce the pain, reduce inflammation, increase the amount of glutathione. So, we're looking at those principles of the body actually healing itself.
