Grape and Chia

Ingredients

  • cup seedless red grapes
  • 1 cup packed baby spinach or kale
  • 1 frozen banana
  • ¼ cup coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon Chia Seeds

Method
Place the grapes, spinach, banana, chia seeds and coconut milk in a blender. Blend until smooth and frothy.  Serve.

Raspberry and nut protein

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup almond milk
  • ¾ cup frozen raspberries
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1 tablespoon natural almond or peanut butter
  • 1 tsp honey

Method
Place the milk, raspberries, banana, almond butte, and honey in a blender. Blend until smooth and frothy. Serve

Mango Lassi

Mangoes are a welcome pick-me-up in the morning.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped ripe mango or 2 frozen cheeks
  • ½ cup milk (cow milk or almond milk)
  • ½ cup ice
  • 2 kale leaves
  • ¼ cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Method
Place the mango, milk, ice, yogurt, kale and honey in a blender. Blend until smooth and frothy.

Berry and oat

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup frozen blueberries
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • ½ cup ice
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • ¼ to ½ teaspoon grated fresh ginger

Method
Place the oats and ½ cup water in a blender and blend. Leave the oats soaking for about 15 minutes until they have softened. Add the blueberries, yogurt, ice, sugar, and ginger and blend further until smooth and frothy.  Serve

Banana and Coconut milk

Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen blueberries
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Method
In a blender, puree the blueberries, bananas, yogurt, coconut milk, and honey. Serve.

Strawberry, honey and flax seeds

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • ¾ cup plain low-fat yogurt
  • ½ cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon flaxseed meal

Method
Place the strawberries, yogurt, orange juice, honey, and flaxseed meal in a blender. Blend until smooth and frothy.
