Natalie Hume from Metagenics is with NTPagesTV talking us through the range of products they supply to practitioners, doctors and naturopaths. These include detox protocols, nutritional and herbal supplements.
The following is a written transcript of the interview:
Natural Therapy Pages: I'm Kat from NTPagesTV and I'm here with Natalie from Metagenics. How are you, Natalie?
Natalie Hume: Very good, Kat. How are you?
NTP: Very well. Tell me about your company and what you do.
NH: So Metagenics, we are a Brisbane-based company and we are a true practitioner-only company, that we also supply practitioners, doctors, naturopaths throughout Australia and New Zealand. And we also get to see a lot of chiropractors and osteopaths as well.
NTP: And what sort of products are you supplying?
NH: We do a whole range of products. So, we do things from detox protocols to magnesium, and lots of general, obviously, nutritional things, and lots of herbal products as well.
NTP: Okay, what are the benefits of those products?
NH: The good thing about these products is, 'cause we're practitioner-only and we have a TGA-approved laboratory up in our head office, everything is a high quality product, and also high therapeutic dosages. So, these practitioners get to use them with their patients, they're getting effective results, and the patients are obviously coming back to the practitioner to get those prescriptions as well.
NTP: About the company Metagenics, can you tell me about how long you've been around?
NH: Metagenics has been around for over 25 years. So, we are from Brisbane, and we also do a lot of things to support the practitioner in the business. So, not just products. We're very much in helping them market their business or support them in their business development. So, we do a lot of things like these posters in the background. We do brochures, but we also have a lot of clinical tools; so, things like testing tools. We do have something called haemoview, which is live blood screening. We also do VLA, which is a body mass index tool as well. And practitioners can actually get this, and get training from us and ongoing support as well.
NTP: That's fantastic. So, if you're setting up a practice that would be invaluable, and going forward as well with your practices.
NH: Definitely! We also do assisted products. We've also got reps that come out and support the practitioner. We do seminars throughout the years on particular conditions. Next seminar, for example, is on dermatological conditions. We offer that support and that feedback to our practitioners.
