High Antioxidant Berry Smoothie Recipe

Antioxidants act as free radical scavengers.  They prevent and protect disease such as some cancers, heart disease and liver disease. Antioxidants also support anti aging.

It is important to eat a diet rich in antioxidants in order to slow down the over production of free radicals within our bodies. 

Berries are one of the richest food sources of antioxidants.

Ingredients

  • 1-2 cups of berries (these can be strawberries, blueberries, raspberries or a mixture)
  • ½ cup of plain yoghurt
  • ¼ cup of coconut milk
  • 1-2 tablespoons flaxseed meal

Instructions

  1. Mix together in a food processor until smooth.
  2. Serve as soon as possible and enjoy!
