In this video, Kat chats with Christine from The Herbal Extract Company about their range of one-to-one fluid extracts to help with a wide range of ailments and conditions.
The following is a written transcription of the interview:
Natural Therapy Pages: I'm Kat from NTPagesTV, and I'm with Christine from The Herbal Extract Company. How are you, Christine?
Christine Thomas: I'm well, thank you.
NTP: How's the expo going?
CT: Really great. Actually, we've had quite a few naturopaths and herbalists, which is what we like because that's the people that we provide practitioner-only.
NTP: What products do you provide?
CT: We make a range of one-to-one, mostly one-to-one fluid extracts; so herbs extracted in ethanol and water. We've got some new products that are compounded formulas as well.
NTP: What are the benefits of those products?
CT: We make more than 190 different individual herbs. So, they are to treat many different conditions. A naturopath would have a dispensary and mix maybe four or five together so that you can make a bespoke medicine out of them. But we have for, like, we have a head, cold vitality and antioxidant and liver support.
NTP: You've got the four out there on display as well. What can you tell me about those products in particular?
CT: Well, we've got nettle, cinnamon, maritime pine bark and bilberry, and they're all for different conditions. The nettle is a good tonic. The cinnamon is good for digestion. The maritime pine bark is probably one of my favourites of our company because we harvested it ourselves. It's very fresh and a good antioxidant. And the bilberry tastes really good, actually, for a herb.
NTP: Wonderful and where can we get your products from?
CT: You can buy them direct from us or through our distributors, TMS or Integria. They're not retail products. So, for anyone who wants to buy them, they would have to see a naturopath who stocks our products.
NTP: Have you got a website address?
CT: Yes, it's www.herbalextracts, with an S, .com.au.
NTP: Great! Thanks Christine.
CT: Okay, thank you.
