Chocolate cake needn't be unhealthy. This healthy chocolate cake can now be enjoyed without the guilt. This recipe is high in antioxidants. The eggs add the protein and the maple syrup gives you that added sweetness without giving you the high insulin/blood sugar level spike.

Magnesium
High in magnesium. This mineral is essential for energy production as well as supporting a healthy brain and nervous system. It is also important for muscles, bones and teeth.
Iron
Iron helps build the blood which helps to transport haemoglobin (oxygen) around the body. Iron is also important for transporting potassium, zinc, copper, selenium and manganese around the body
The cacao part of the chocolate bar is not the unhealthy component, it is everything tht is added to it that renders it unhealthy! The other reason is that when the cacao is roasted to make a chocolate bar, many of the antioxidant and beneficial enzymes are destroyed.
