Juicing can give you good-for-you benefits with every sip, and these recipes are just simply good for you. The good news is that for the following recipes, you do not need a fancy juicer, you will just need a blender. Remember, if the end product is too thick, you can just add a little water until you get to the consistency you need.
Green Smurf
Ingredients
- 1 cup kale (from about 3 large, shredded leaves)
- 1 cup seedless green grapes
- 1 English cucumber, thickly sliced
- 1 small Granny Smith apple cored and cut into chunks and skin left on
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Combine the kale, grapes, cucumber, apple, and water in a blender and blend.
- Every now and then stop the blender and scrape down the sides, until smooth.
- Strain juice if need be. You can also thin with additional water.
- Refrigerate up to 2 days (shake before serving).
Immune Booster
Ingredients
- 1 medium apple cored and cubed, skin left on
- 2 medium soft pears cored and cubed, skin left on
- 1/2 cup cherries (fresh with pits removed or frozen and thawed)
Instructions
- In a blender, combine apple, pears, and cherries.
- Every now and then stop the blender and scrape down the sides, until smooth.
- Strain juice if need be. You can also thin with additional water.
- Refrigerate up to 2 days (shake before serving).
High antioxidant
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh blueberries (or frozen, thawed)
- 5 fresh strawberries, halved (or frozen, thawed)
- 2 cups peeled and coarsely chopped mango
Instructions
- In a blender, combine blueberries, strawberries, mango, and water and blend.
- Every now and then stop the blender and scrape down the sides, until smooth.
- Strain juice if need be. You can also thin with additional water.
- Refrigerate up to 2 days (shake before serving).
- You can garnish with a mint leaf and some blueberries sprinkled on top.
